That was the deal breaker for me. It seems like they are a love them or hate them kind of place. They are really big and do things their way, if you get past that then you will find that they have some incredible resourses there. Not much that they cannot do there.

Bob

We scheduled an 8 AM appt. and were done by 1 PM.

Ed,
We were at a rally at Lazy Days in Dec for 3 days. When we arrived, we called an requested that they do the Norcold recall. There were 4 of us parked together at the campground and Lazy Days came over and did it on site. We were very pleased with their service. Have not had any other work done on my coach there.

Ed,

Good to hear, that has always been the way we have been treated there. We will be stopping at LD for another new drivers side window before we head north. I think that most of the folks with the complaints tend to be complainers in general.

Had bad bearing in rear outer wheel which revealed itself with a rear axle leak.

Rural area here but located workhorse service center just 12 miles away in New Bethlehem, PA called Gumtown Garage formerly Skinner Pontiac buick GMC.

Great service and friendly. yes I also posted to workhorse website.
Best of all, it was covered by the service contract I purchased from Camper World two years ago when I bought the unit used.

Was in Fairbanks, AK, and the engine was missing when a load was put on it. Went to Workhorse web site and found Gabe's in Fairbanks was a Workhorse Service Center. Called to schedule an appt and in talking to Service Mgr, discovered that Gabe's was not an authorized service center for Workhorse. What gives? Called the only number I had for Workhorse, the road service, and after giving them all my info they told me that they did not know the answer. They gave me the Workhorse number. I called twice and left phone messages as they were too busy. I did not get a call back. Rather disappointed in Workhorse customer service.
Drove back thru Canada and called Taylor Chev in Rexburg, ID, to sched an appt the following week. Told them I was on the road but would be coming in from Butte and be there around noon. When I got there, I was greeted by Bobbie, unhooked my toad, went to a spot they recommended for lunch, came back and went on a test drive with their tech, Rich. He concurred that I had a problem and the actions that I took to try to fix it (fuel filter and air filter). He put a computer on the engine, found #5 cyl was not firing all the time. Replaced plugs and wires, and some other stuff, lubed and oil and then another test drive. Out of there around 3:30 and to campsite in Idaho Falls. Told the owner that I was happy with the service and if I lived in the area, they would have my business. I have previously had the plugs/wires checked at another Workhorse Service Center and was told they were good.

Seahawk, If I were your dealer and knowing that you have had a plug wire condition, I would have recommended that the Cold Air Vent Kit be installed on your motorhome which will keep issues like this from happing. The 38T is a good candidate for the vent kit. I have seen it applied to member's vehicles that participate in this forum successfully. You should consider this upgrade.

Driver, thanks for the recommendation. Will have vent kit installed when I take the coach in for the next service or get home.

Just had the brake recall done on my Workhorse. Very satisified with:

Larry's Auto Clinic, Inc.
4719 Northgate Blvd Myrtle Beach, SC 29577
(843) 293-2205
Fax: (843) 293-2448

Great people and good service worth the total 1000 miles I had to drive. I wish we had a place like that in Delaware. Plus.... great weather good food.

Just had the brake recall done at Alliance Coach, Wildwood, Florida. Outstanding organisation!! They took care of us from the time we arrived late Sunday until our departure. A service advisor is assigned to each customer, he kept us informed of what was taking place throughout the entire evolution. New calipers and brake pads, rotors were good. Needed one new brake line. $460.00 out the door. I'm a happy man!!!!

I discovered that a lot of Workhorse Service Centers do not work on diesel engines due to the cost of the dialogistic equipment. The same may be true for the transmission. They may do oil and filter changes but if you have any other problems you need to find a Navistar/Allison Service Center.
With this in mind I would like to recommend two service centers that work on the Navistar (Maxxforce 7) engines and Allison transmissions.
Selking Int’l Richmond, IN (765) 935-4588
Blust Motor Service Cincinnati, OH (513) 385-6050
I had a very positive experience at both of these businesses.

I've been happy with Champion Frame Align in Elgin, IL. They did the brake recall and regular service on my W22 and so far so good.
