While during some preventive maintenance preping the coach for my next mission trip, I found three cracks in the welds around the engine compartment. the first was the braket that holds the overflow for the engine coolant. The other two were where the bracket welds to the front frame in front of my front wheels. They support the front of the nose cone. I decided to install a braket instead of having someone come and weld the spots for I felt they coudn't get to the location good enough to weld it properly. Also I would have had to disconnect all the batteries prior to welding on the coach. (Very important) So I grinded down the old welds and held a two inch piece of angle iron in place with grimping plyers drilled two 3/8 inch holes secured it with bolts. I would suggest that you all inspect your areas also. My coach is going up to its sixth anniversay and I have 38,000 miles on it.

WoodyK, My recovery bottle was also moved and welded in its current location. The other welds that your are referencing most likely are proprietary and "Yes" you're right. Check stuff out just to see if everything is holding as it should.

Quite often when these welds break we get those annoying pops and creaks that drive folks nuts
