I have a '98 32 foot P32 Brave. The front end rides about 2" lower that the rear. It is not uncommon for me to have to raise the front tires off the ground to level the coach. I have been running 85# of air in the front air bags. I tried to go higher, but it made no difference in the ride height. I would welcome any suggestions as to how to solve this problem.

Tom, a problem with the front coil springs on the P30 & P32 chassis was the springs loose their tension over time. Probably the best situation for you is to replace them with newer heavier duty springs. I looked into this on my last MH which was also a P32, but before I did it I traded for our existing W22.

I'm not sure where to find them but you can do a search at the many RV Chassis suppliers. Camping World used to carry them, but don't know if they still do.

Thanks for the responses. I will give Brazel's a try to see what they suggest.

Kazoo Tom,

What is your ride height from the bumper on the lower control arm to the deflector plate above it.

If you replace the springs consider getting rid of the air bags. Mike, can get a replacement spring that will give the proper ride height and very good ride.

Mike, I will try to get out to measure the distance you mentioned. It is getting cold and stormy here in Michigan, forecast for a couple of days.

Dale, Thanks for the info, I will be checking them out.

Just wanted to let you all know that I have not given up on the problem. It has been cold, snowy and wet here in Michigan for the past week. I will get to the measurement as soon as the weather gets a bit nicer.

DriVer, it was the only excuse I had at the time !

On the 11th we got another 5" of wet heavy snow. It is really getting depressing. I has melted to day and the weekly forecast says it will stay warmer and dryer for a few days. We are just hoping that the storm over Kansas stays to the south of us. We need to dry out a bit here.

Not to steal the thread but!
My P-32 has a space of 1.5" to 1.625" space between the bumper to the above plate.
This is with 65 PSI in the air bags, which is down from my normal 75PSI. front tires also run at 77 PSI on my gauge.

Glad I checked, found the sway bar had a "U" clamp (Drivers side)that has lost a bolt and is very loose. Have to get new bolt and correct the situation.

Whats you thoughts Mike on the springs?

Thanks

Depchief,

The ride height "on the money number" is 2.25" This gives the best in handling & tire wear.I would install a set of springs and eliminate the air bags. The ride height will then stay more constant.
Also one of our sway bar enhancement kit's will eliminate the bolts breaking on the sway bar mounts.
