Inner or outer? Why do you need to change the seal?

Inner. Outter has the oil cup. Installed new cup. Workhorse did not change the seal when they did the calipers, must have gotten hot. It leaks a little. I got the CR seal and it looks like a regular seal if it is the right one. I crossed the Workhorse number. Thank you,Rich

rich6111, A little advice for you. I have had the front inner seals replaced using CR crossovers from NAPA. Once on the road I had bi-lateral leaks. (on the inside of the tire). The Workhorse part number seals were subsequently installed and I have not had any leaks since. If you are doing this job the 1st time or again, consider using WCC part number seals.

If the wheel end is leaking on the outside of the wheel, displays as spidering on the hub cap or wheel, the bearing cup is overfilled.

Rich, the WCC part number seal is a 2 piece and you need the proper driver to install the spindle ring. If you go with a one piece seal, be sure to remove the old ring from the spindle. I've replaced a few using single piece seals (usually National) with good results. Also, seldom have I seen the spindle ring bad, so you could use the WCC seal, leaving the old spindle ring in place.

I did have a coach come in with a leak and "up the road" about 600 miles they had replaced the seal. They used a one piece but didn't remove the old ring from the spindle, therefore destroying the new seal when they forced the hub into place.

I don't know the flat rate but an hour each should do it if the simulators come off easy. I've had loads of trouble with them when those tire guys put them on with the big impact guns or a long breaker bar.

I got folks out of the habit of doing that on my motorhome! A thin wall 3/4" inch drive socket works best.

I remember reading a post where someone had run the bearings dry and had to pay something like $1100 for the replacement on one side.
