I have replaced the fuel filter that was clogged. My engine fuel is running very rich. The engine has no power, hesitating and sputtering. I measured 90 lbs of pressure at the engine shradar valve. Could it be the fuel regulator at the fuel pump? It almost acts like water in fuel except for the fuel pressure which should only be about 60 lbs and running very rich. Thanks for any help.

Yes for sure try a new fuel pressure regulator. If your chassis is an 03 you can adjust the pressure at the regulator too.

JonBrazel,

Is the fuel pressure regulator part of the fuel pump? Do you have to replace the fuel pump in order to replace the regulator? Thanks ............

The regulator is up on the left side of the engine...I can take a picture and post it on Monday for you if you want.

JonBrazel,
The pressure at the Srader valve at the engine is 90 PSI instead of 60 PSI.
Would this pressure regulator cause this? I thought that the fuel pressure regulator on a 2004 chassis was part of the fuel pump? Yes, please post the picture of the regulator that you are referring to. Thanks .................
