Fuel Pump went out in 4000 mi. this was warranty with no cost to me, just time.

But the fire was something.

For any one that has there RV towed. Do not let the tow truck drive tow it with out disconnecting the drive shaft.

I ask him after he hookup the tow truck, are you going to disconnect the drive shaft? And he said it should be ok for about two miles just to get out of the dirt. He did not want to get dirty. He is the one that does this for a living so he knows what to do right? Well the hydro parking brake is like an air brake. It needs 12dc power to keep the parking brake free. Well after 2 miles of towing. The parking brake got so hot the hydro fluid cot on fire. To my fast action, I got the fire bottle and put the fire out.

No fire damage other then the parking brake. The tow truck driver lost his job and the tow company fixed the parking brake at no cost to me just my time.

So I say again: Do not let the tow truck drive tow it with out disconnecting the drive shaft, at any time 1 ft.- 1 yd.- 1 mi. disconnecting the drive shaft.

On the Hook

After the Fire

Unclesmirf,

Good advise about second guessing the tow truck operator. I needed a tow for my previous 05,... blown pinion seal. He backed the trucks boom right through my windshield. Couldn't get him fired, as he was the owner. I did get a new windshield though.

Since then I NEVER assume.
