Just make sure they check the filter before spending all that money. Of course if they do it and it still doesn't not work should not they be responsible, who knows? Ask for all your replaced parts. I've always made that a habit.

Check wiring harness along chassis rail to fuel tank. There are splices and connectors along there that may be bad or intermittant. In that case a fuse would not necesarily be bad. Look for pinched or abraided or stretched wiring harness. All these are easily done and visual no cost items that should precede fuel pump replacement. Also look for loose or croded grounds.

I can tell you first hand it is the fuel filter. Mine did it too around 15,000 miles Workhorse is famous for this. Try this. Turn the key to on wait for pump to stop then off. Do this 3 or 4 times, then try to start it. In other words, cycle the pump 3 to 4 times then try to start it.
Mine did the same thing. The first time I turned the key on the fuel pressure was 30, the second time it was 45 and the third time it was 55. It takes around 55 psi to start. It was under warranty so they changed the pump too just for good measure.

We had our 2004 W22 stop running on us three times, towed twice. It turned out to be the plug and socket, for the fuel pump, on top of the gas tank. You could see where it was burning up. You can't see that socket without dropping the tank.

Tim, Looks like I may have the same problem you had. Service center called this afternoon and said pump was fine but they found electrical problem on top of tank. No more details yet as they still have coach for Bosch brake recall. Will update early next week when we get coach back. Thanks to all who replied, nice to have so many trying to help. Dick

They changed my fuel pump (or at least they said they did and billed WH for it) and it was running perfect for 1800 miles with the check engine light on. I would have been very speptical about whether it needed a new pump if I had to pay for it. The service writer in his suit and tie said it wasz a new and improved fuel pump. Driver or anyone, have you heard of this "New and Improved" fuel pump? The coach does run as good as it ever has and the check engine light has'nt come on for the 2500 or so miles I've put on it since. They also billed WH for a new fuel filter but the filter did not look brand new, had matching dirt like the frame around it.

I'll find out about a new style/model fuel pump early next week.
