My gauge was at 5/8s. My Voyage has a 75 gal fuel tank. I figure half a tank is 37.5 gal. When I filled up, it took 45+ gallons. Am I doing something wrong. And no, there was no gas on the ground under the rig.

I found my gauge to be a "Good Guess" for appromimate quantities.

If you want to get good readings, I suggest buying ScanGuage II. When you adjust the set, after a couple of fill-ups you will be within 1/2 gal of hitting the mark.

ScanGauge II

On my coach, from a full tank I can go 200 miles and be down to 3/4. After another 200 miles the gauge is down to 1/4.

The gas gauge is a joke, like everything else on the Workhorse dash panel. Don't even try to measure your fuel consumption by using the gauge. The temp gauge goes up to mid range and never changes. The idiot IP (Actia) is a known farce. We are stuck with it, so all we can do is compensate for this engineering mess.....

I have an established 800 mile range. I refuel more in accordance with the odometer and my destination with Flying J always on the itinerary.

Mine seems to be fairly accurate. The Warn lamp comes On at the red hash mark, & once I ran it down to nearly empty (I was a tad nervous), putting in (as I recall) about 71 gallons. The only complaint I have is that the generator flames just above the one-half full mark.

The Actia range & fuel consumption readings also seem good.

Unless you are getting unusually good mileage I would doubt you have a 800 mile range. My W22 gets about 8 MPG average, which is more than a lot of owners are getting. At 8 MPG and 75 gallons in the tank I would get a range of 600 miles to empty. Either you have a larger tank than we do or your mileage is something the rest of us dream of.
On my W22 it takes 15 gallons to get the needle off the full mark. From there on down it is pretty linear. For example, the next 15 gallons drops the needle one quarter tank, the next 15 gallons drops the needle another quarter tank, etc. If the needle is at three quarter tank it will take 30 gallons to fill it, if the needle is at half a tank it will take 45 gallons to fill it, if the needle is at one quarter tank it will take 60 gallons to fill it. It's been that way since new. Your mileage may vary.

It would make the coach weight computations easier.

From what I have read here, never let your tank get below one half. Take a chance on overheating your fuel pump and then replacement. I guess my old dash is working, as all of my gages work. And seem to be correct.

Fulltimer, as I've stated before I once refueled with 80 gallons and at that time the generator was still running before I stopped. It is rated to have an 80 gallon tank. I have never had a fuel problem.
