Thanks for posting those, what is the plug/bolt next to the electrical connector in the photo of the top of the tank?

Optional fuel pick-up location

Issac-1,

Great question.

It's a welded-in pipe threaded bung with a pipe plug. It appears to be an optional fuel pick-up location.

Vroom, I re read through your thread and didn't see it, but did you address the gen set fuel pick up tube, was this one of the three on the fuel pump, or was there a separate line.

Generator fuel pick-up

CJ7365,

The generator fuel pick-up was separate from the fuel pump. It is located in the center of the tank toward the front half and inserts about 3/4s of the distance to the tank bottom. It was difficult to reach and even harder to disconnect so I cut it in half when I wacked off the fuel pump connection nipples. Replaced with new.
