6.5 to 8.0 MPG depending on your weight and speed. Congrats on your purchase. Which chassis did you get?

If you run the speed limit you will get 5 to 6 on ethanol on real gas 6 to 7 on E85 you will not be able to run in overdrive. I could only get 55 to 60 wide open when I mistakenly put E85 in the tank

W22 2008, light foot, no toad, empty tanks and drive around 58/60 we get high 9's on flat land. Fully loaded, 3,000 lb jeep and at 60/65 we get mid 7's on typical 7k summer trip. Somewhere between 4 and 5 dollars a gallon I think we will leave toad at home and rent cars as needed.

In Northern CA, never on a flat highway for long, towing a 3200 pound car, driving about 60 MPH we get between 6.5 to 7 MPG. I always try to by fuel at Costco so what ever mixture they sell in CA is usually in our rig. The mileage I quoted is the actual mileage, not what the trip computer says. Calculated as; fill the tank, zero the trip odometer, fill the tank, then divide the distance by the gallons. I have seen 8 MPG on rare occasion on long flat highways with little or no wind.

Thanks, not bad considering.....we won't be towing. Anyone adding additives? Is it necessary? I'm in southern California.

I do as I feel with E10 it is necessary and makes a difference. I use AMSOIL's Performance Improver for gasoline/E10 right before a big trip to clean the fuel system to get my best gas mileage. I also run the generator to clean it as well.

I also use AMSOIL's Gasoline Stabilizer if I know it will sit a month before fresh gas will be put in. I also run the generator to make sure it is stabilized as well.

Is there much of a difference between the W24 with a 5 vs 6 speed Allison on average?
