General questions from a W22 Newbie

So we got a 2003 National on a W22 chassis the other day and I spent the better part of yesterday going over and under her to familiarize myself. Two questions.
1. I do not have a grease zerk installed on my brake bell crank. Looking at it National placed one of the fuse panels directly in front of the bell crank which I will have to move to drill the zerk in place, or can someone tell me how difficult it is to remove the bell crank and install the zerk outside of the coach.
2. While draining the transmission pan I noticed that on the drivers side of the coach inside of the frame rail I have a pump assembly that has multiple brake lines running to it. I do not have an auto park button on the dash only a push pedal. I do have a brake on the tail shaft that the cable linkage is running too. I do not see that the pump runs to the tail shaft brake so I'm curious is this some type of brake booster for the rear brakes to insure the get enough brake fluid pressure. I had a 94 P30 before and I'm half way familiar with auto brake and don't recognize this part. If it is some type of brake booster is there any type of maintenance that I should be adding to my list for the pump.

Thanks as always for the info

It's been a few years since we owned our W22 chassis but it looks like you have posted pictures of the ABS module and TCM module?

The item with the brake lines may be the antilock brake accuator.

I believe the pump assembly with brake lines you are referring to is the auxiliary pump for brake booster pressure. Workhorse uses a hydro boost brake system which relies on pressure from the power steering pump to assist with brake force application, similar but superior to vacuum power brakes. This electric operated pump energizes if the power steering pressure is lost for any reason (example:serpentine belt failure) and supplies pressure for safe stop.

The Hydro Boost or Hydro Max system sits on the firewall between the pedal linkage and the master cylinder.

Hmm. So sounds like abs module would be the likely culprit. I was just surprised to see it there figured it would be up on the engine compartment but I guess mid brake line would be a decent location. Just trying to learn the new coach. Anyone had experience removing the bell crank arm?

When the zerk was added to mine, the "thin" man got behind the grill and carefully drilled into the outer tube of the bell crank shaft bracket then added self tapping zerk fitting and lubed it. Never had any issue before or since. Didn't remove anything except himself. Back then, WH was allowing zerk labor to any body in for service.
