I wonder if the Grade Brake function can be programmed to interact with the cruise control to moderate over speeding a set speed on mild downgrades. This cruise control function seems readily available on cars. On my Liberty this is a very handy feature for mild downgrades where at 3-5 mph above set speed the transmission goes out of OD automatically and retards speed down to the set speed. At the set speed, it shifts back into OD.
Of course if the downgrade is too steep, normal grade braking would over rule and CC would be put on hold with brake pedal application.
How about it Brazel people?? May be by Quartzite next week???

Marty, is this question in regard to the TGB or the UAGB? In my experience with the UAGB, the machine will slow and hold a speed while in compression however none of that interacts with the cruise control. If the conditions change the speed may change.
In order to activate the UAGB, you need to step on the brake pedal. If you step on the brake pedal this by default disengages the cruise control. It would seem that getting both systems to interact concurrently would not be something that I can't see happening.
Once I come out of the grade, I use the restore function to resume cruising.

Mike, Yes it is in regard to UAGB. My understand of the present operation is just as you have described. Thus my question about possibility of an added feature to UAGB that to me seems related to the 2 systems. So that if for example: CC is on and if CC can output a flag to, say cause OD to be switched off and or effect an additional downshift. They have all the data parameters to accomplish the over speed control while in cruise control. Perhaps a response will be forthcoming from Washington
I am planning to have UAGB installed this month at Quartzite.

The very short answer to your question is NO, the two are not compatible in that the Cruise when it calls for more power will disengage the grade brake.
