Does anyone know the specifications of the front tie rod on a 2003 W22 chassis? I have lost the grease boot (who knows how) on mine and need to replace it.

I recently replaced the grease boots on the tie rods of our 2005 W20 with boots bought from NAPA. It used the largest size they stocked. If I remember right it was with a .75" opening. Only cost about $4.00 each. And you have to trim a little bit off the bottoms as they are made to fit a variety of vehicles. Hardest part was getting the tie rod to separate from the rest, the drivers side was very stubborn. Good luck!

Finally picked up a couple tie rod boots at NAPA. Had to order them but they were in the next morning. Needed one but bought two.
Not certain if I'll put it on or have the mechanic install it when I get my PA state inspection.
Thanks to Easyrider and Mabry!

When doing the job yourself, if you have a stubborn tie rod, try having someone rotate the steering wheel while separating them.
