I see in the September issue of Motor Home. That the "P" chassis is to be dumped this summer. To be replaced by the "W" 16,000/18,000# chassis. With the Vortec 8.1 and the old Hydramatic 4 spd trans. Optional Vortec 6000 6.0-L.

Check this out, posted on June 11th.
New W16 and W18 will replace existing P Series models in July
Motorhome Magazine is a little late on this release compared to what you guys get here.

Just a passing thought, Did anybody else ever ruin a set of front tires learning about the effect of not paying close attention to the pressure in those lousy inaccessible air bag valve stems?

Are they going to use the notorious "AutoPark" parking brake? I saw nothing about it anywhere in the press release...

The T1000 has a pawl. The 2100MH, 2500, 3000, 4000 don't have parking pawls. The only difference between WCC auto apply brake and any other transmission w/o a parking pawl installed on an RDP is that the RDP uses air and the AAB on the WCC coaches use hydraulic pressure to activate/deactivate the brake.
Both systems are essentially the same technologically if not exactly the same in hardware.
Hi to Shatzi!

I like the IFS....I'm not sure how you could not know there are airbags....Seems easy to reach the air valve stems to me....

So what manufacturer of small class A's is using the new W16 chassis?
At what point will the P32 disappear?
I'm in the market for a Fleetwood 26Q class A and I'm wondering whether I should wait for the new improved W16 chassis or go with the old tried & True P32.
