I am not sure that this is a WH problem or coach mgr.. I have a 08 Fleetwood Southwind on a WH22. The hazzard lights have stopped working w/o warning. I have all other lights.. The question, where is the klicker located. I still have turn signals but no sound?? I can't even find it in the owners manual??? Any idea's??

thx Ron

Most have separate "clickers" for the turn signals and emergency flashers. On gas coaches they normally are buried somewhere under the dash, and not easy to reach. On diesels, they are more often in a basement compartment below the driver area (and thus you don't hear a "click" when they are operating. I would start my search wherever the chassis fuse panel is ...the "clicker(s)" are normally somewhere nearby. It might help to activate the turn signals and see if you can find the "clicker" by sticking your ears into basement compartments, etc. Where you find one, the other should be in the same general neighborhood.

You will want to check the under hood fuses first. In my experience, it wouldn't be the flasher so much unless the lights come on and stay on. Do the arrows in the IP light up at all?

Actually the 4-way flasher is normally the HD type, these start "Open" and as the current heats the wire it closes and turns on the lights. shorting the heater wire and as it cools the flasher opens turning off the lights and re-heating the wire, This type of flasher will work with one bulb, or 20

Possible locations are under the dash and under the hood, in a black box, roughly center (I am not sure if it's there) if you E-mail Workhorse support they should be able to tell you which box it's in. Under the dash is my #1 suspect.

May be on a board or more than likely just the end of a 2-wire cable.

There are definitely 2 flashers under the dash. I had an older gentleman that came up to me while I was at a rally and he handed me his flasher and said, "What's this?" Well I told him that it was his flasher and he said ... well my signals are working so what is it. Tada! 4W Flasher so I went over to the guys motorhome and got on my back and looked and looked for the socket it seemed like it took forever to find it but it was under the front edge closest to to me where the dash rolls down and it was just there. I plugged in the flasher and got it working.

I called up to the owner and told him I got good news and bad news. He said what that, Good news 4W flasher is working ... what's the bad? Ahhh you're going to need a crane to get me outta here!

It was odd that he found the flasher on the floor, it just came loose and is was laying there. The wife actually saw it first while vacuuming. I do housecalls!

Wooffeer,

I'll second what Full-timer and Driver said. We have an 06' Fleetwood Bounder and our flasher has fallen off before. They are under the dash near the steering column. Kind of a pain to get to it, I needed to go head first on my back to see them. Might want to tape them up while your in there.

Bob

I have a drivers door, makes life a little easier when you need to get under the dash.

I have had the steering column switch for the hazard lights go out on me twice. This is most likely the problem that yop are having if the turn signals work.

Mine has (actually had) two flahsers: one for the turn signal/flashers and the other for the antenna warning light on my dash. I don't use the antenna warning light anymore as it is useless.

The flasher (at least the ones that I have) look like litle round silver cans about 1 inch high. The one closest to the left side of the coash is the one you want if yours is set up the same way that mine is. When I replaced mine, I got the NAPA heavy duty flasher with a relay inside, no problem for many years..

If your problem is the switch, it is the turn signal/flasher switch on the steeering column.

Full timer, I can't tell from your coach model but if you have a Rexhall gas unit, the entire dash hinges at the front. There are two screws holding it in place, remove them and the dash will swing up and all wiring etc is easy to get at.
