Help backup lights

New to me 2002 Winnebago sightseer , Chevy /workhorse
Backup lights stay on with ignition regardless of gear selection, i have disconnected switch on side of transmission , lights stay on.
Pulled turn signal/ bu light fuse , bu lights remained on .
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated .

Hmm...I think the first step is to find out which fuse the BU lights are connected to. It seems like someone fouled up the wiring. It seems like it may be wired to the running lights. I'd also see if the transmission switch works by doing a continuity check on it. It should be in the open position when the RV is turned off. If it isn't, it may need replacing.
