Last year I took the motorhome for it's annual state inspection. It failed as the horn did not work. I took it home and checked a lot of things, disconnected one horn and got my wife to try to honk it while I checked for voltage in the wire. She pushed the button before I was ready and the other horn honked! I took it back, got it inspected and all was well. Now it has failed again. Does anyone know where the horn relay is on a W-22 ?
It isn't time for inspection yet, but I would like to fix it.
Any help will be appreciated.

lascar, Remove the horns from their mounting. Get a 5/16" or 3/8" externally serrated washer (Lowes), place it against the base of the horn and thread the bolt through the horn and the washer. Secure same to the original location.

You may want to clean the frame where the horn mounts as well.

Every single 12 volt problem can be BEST be remedied by assuring that the 12 volt device has an adequate ground first. If it still doesn't work then we look at other components. A horn circuit is nothing but an interrupted connection (Normally Open) to ground.

Find this panel under the dash an the horn relay is the gray one marked 8567 in the photo. If you want a break down of the pins then go to my web site and check out the Convenience Panel. Better yet go to the Downloads and download the Electrical Schematics for the W22.

Your likely right DriVer as it seems he has an intermittant. I go for loose horn leads as this is what he was fingering when his wife tooted.

If you need to gain access to the area under the dash in front of the driver, the easyest way to is to remove the drivers seat. Remove the four nuts on the pedistal and use the seat belt to help get it out of the way.

George, I laid down on the floor in front of the seat and I practically needed a crane to get up.
