Lubed my W-22 for the first time today (for me). How many zerk fittings should I have found? I got 13 counting the brake shaft. DriVer told me once there were 14, what did I miss?

You missed the fitting on the bell crank.

Mike, Open the hood and look behind (right side) the Bosch Hydro-Max Brake Booster. You will see a vertical anodized rod with a grease fitting on it facing you.
IF you have a 2004 MH the Zerk may be absent and you need to get one installed. That will make 14 grease fittings.

OK - Here's the count.
Driveshaft = 5
Right side (Pax) = 3
Left side (Dvr) = 5
Bellcrank = 1
Total = 14

The amount of grease fitting that you have is like a Nightmare on Elm Street

That's why I bought my cordless grease gun .
The new cars and Pu's have none. Just replace the parts.

It's better than doing it manually.

Wondering what grease to use for the chassis lube?
Do you purge lube or just give a few shots?
Are there any needle fittings?
Thanks.

Mike, I counted 4 on the drive shaft, will look tomorrow, I got them all but thought it was 4.
Magumba, use NLGI #2, Category "GC" or "GC-LB". I got some today at NAPA. $2.99.

Four Ujoints and the slip yoke = five. I give it two pumps on the grease gun or when the grease starts to purge out once a year. There it no need to over grease the fittings. By the way I have a grease fitting on each of my leveling jacks and that makes mine 18 fittings.
