I just left Forest City, Iowa and I saw not one Workhorse MH around the vistor center and there were 5 MHs still out in the rally area, all fords.
This is my 4th visit for repair and and the first for no Workhorse MH on display. Does this mean anything?

I guess I don't know what Forest City, Iowa is but if you were the only WH there for repair;

Uh, I guess that's a "good" thing; but I don't know what the 'display' is.

It's Winnebago's HQ.

When I was there for the GNR there was a W24 on display. It's likely that they rotate machines in and out of the display so you can see a mix of all Ford or perhaps all Workhorse at one time or another.

This is probablly a question you should have asked Winnebago HQ while you were there. All you will generally get here is speculation and assumtions.

I too was at the Winnebago factory on July 18th. I took the factory tour and saw a lot of bare chassis' out in the yard waiting for the production line. I don't know for sure how many I saw but there were both Ford and Workhorse chassis' sitting out there. However, by far the most prominent were the new small Dodge Mercedes Benz diesel powered chassis' for Class C production. The tour guide said it's because that's what dealers wanted right now.

What I have seen lately is that the very large majority of gas chassis are being made on the Ford chassis and I believe some stats I read recently bore that out. I know if I was looking at a gas coach now - I would give the Ford a very hard look and it would probably be what I would purchase. Maybe that is why you saw only Fords there.

I had a WH W22 for over three years and it would be hard for them to get me back as a customer. They always took care of it under warranty and they fixed most (not all) of the problems - but it just broke a lot. It seemed like there was always something wrong with the W22 chassis.

Probably a supply issue. Either WH has none to send or the manufacturer has no money to spend. However, on a 2009 Monaco Monach, HR Admiral or Safari the difference between a WH and Ford is now between $270.00 and $1350.00 as opposed to $3000.00 to $5000.00 like previous years.
