Hi folks
This Oct my ignition switch burned up on my 2001 P chassis Flair. Pulled into rest area and all was fine. Shut off the engine and when I returned to start it, the steering wheel was locked up. It finally came free but did not feel right. When I tried to start it, it would start but not keep running ( I now know the pink wire was fried). Then the key would not turn. Finally, after 6 hours,of trying, the key turned and it kept running. By now, this was 1AM and we were 2 hours outside of Dallas and our campsite ( We were going home to Denver from Louisana). It ran ok and when I got to the campground, I shut it off, immediately tried it and it would start but would not run. I don't know how the pink wire held up for 2 hours.

I got the switch replaced and now find out that the Workhorse center didn't know about the switch mod.

I have orderd the kit from Workhorse and the pink wire portion of it seems pretty straightforward.

The other portion of the kit is for the blower ( which ultimately ties into the brown wire on the ignition switch). The instructions on this are pretty vague as compared to the one on the pink wire. I have the factory wiring diagrams and have located the Connector 255.

I am leery as to how accurate the actual wiring and the diagrams are. I am hesitant to start this without more info. I have done considerable DIY so I sure like to get more info on this before I tackle this part of the mod.

Is there anything on line like the instructions for the pink wire??

I would appreciate any help on this

Thanks Bob

Hi folks
I forgot to mention that the Workhorse kit number is W8002085 which contains kit number W8001511 and W8002060.

Thanks Bob
