I would to pass on what I have received from Workhorse on questions that I have asked on the 8.1L engineand recived a reply:

AUX Brake Warning:
In response to the Brake warning you experienced in the display this is a normal warning that will come on when the brake accumulators are low on pressure. This can happen over night or in a day or 2 the brake system naturally looses some pressure and the warning will come on until the pumps can build enough pressure to give you power brakes. It is normal operation at start up and nothing to worry about. If you experience this warning at other times (not at start up) then we would need to look into it.

RV oil Filter for 8.1L:
Use the AC Delco PF1318. This allows you to use 7 quarts of oil instead of 6.5.

Coolant Level:
In response to the coolant bottle being low. It would be a very good idea to open the radiator cap (with the engine cold) and be sure it’s filled to the top with Dexcool antifreeze. Sometimes when work is performed on the cooling system we get air trapped in the system and it takes a little while to work its way out. As long as you don’t smell antifreeze when the coach is hot or see any on the ground under the engine area I would say it’s probably an air pocket in the system. One way to know for sure is watch the overflow bottle. It should be filled to the cold line when the engine is cold. You should then be able to see the level rise when the engine is hot. It may not get to the hot line but it should go up in the bottle. If it doesn’t go up then there’s air in the system and we may need to bleed it at a dealer.

This is new and it reinforces the recommendations that have been made here over the years for the NAPA Gold 1060 filter which allows the use of 7 Quarts of oil to be used at the time of service. (or equivalent)

Due to the length of the heater hoses which go to the front of the coach, my service center told me that they use a vacuum or pressure system to force coolant through the system which completely fills the system on the 1st attempt and the need for a burp is greatly diminished.
