Inspect Your Vacuum Plugs

While inspecting my engine, prior to my TX trip, I found that the vacuum ports plugs on the top rear of the 8.1 were cracked and about ready to fall off. It was just last year that I inspected these and there were vacuum lines with screws in the end of them to plug the ports. So I decided to buy some vacuum plugs that fit and installed them--They only lasted maybe nine months. So I went back to the lines with the screws in them. I guess WH new that the plugs would deteriorate and the lines with the screw in the end wouldn't.

WoodyK, I am not so sure that Workhorse would have done something like that however the OEM (coach builder) may have.
