On my recent trip from Arizona to Washington State I had a problem with my instruments. While cruising at 60 MPH the instruments would all go to "0" and then back to normal also all the warning indicators would flash and the seat belt alarm and light would come on. This happened several times every travel day except the last 230 miles of my trip. Has anyone had that problem or can someone tell me what may be causing that. I did hit some rough road in Utah that felt like all the bolts where going to vibrate out of my coach. I have a 2007 Adventurer 39J on a W-24 chassis. Thanks in advance for any info. Woody

I recently had some of the strange electrical and gauge gremlins on my UFO. They found a loose spark plug wire, after it was replaced all of the gremlins went away.

My first guess would be a bad ground. Try finding a ground lug on the instrument cluster and running a new ground wire to the frame.

Woody: this subject has been discussed MANY times before, here in the Workhorse forum. Please try doing a search....I'm sure you will find more than you care to read. The issue is well known, and is "probably" being caused by a loose ground, but just for grins, please check the tightness of your NEG battery terminal connection. ED

Thanks for the responses. I did searches for my particular problem, however I did not find any. It does seem that most of the instrumentation problems stem from loose wiring. I will check all my wiring and I will post any findings. Thanks again for the help.

My instrument cluster use to do the same--It was a bad ground in my toad wiring connection.

I also had this gremlin in my IP intermittently. I had a loose chassis ground at the battery. Bad grounds are almost always the cause of electrical issues.

Woody, we also just had this problem on our new 2004 32V Fleetwood Southwind with workhorse chassis. We are bringing it to the mechanic for a full review of all systems, anyway, so I am going to see what they say about ours. It was almost exactly like your problem, except when it all came back on, the drive indicator didn't show up. Here's the funny (at least I think so), the driver, my husband, goes by the nickname of WOODY!

Your husband has a good nickname. Let me know what they find, so far I haven't found my problem. I'm up here in Marysville Washington and it has rained almost every day.
From the responses it sounds like it could be a bad ground anywhere in the coach including the toad. Thanks again to all who responded.

I too had this problem twice coming back from Flagstaff this weekend (everything lights up then seat belt light).. I know this has probably been discussed but cannot find who to contact regarding the instrument cluster being almost unreadable with many missing lines in the digital display.. I have an extended warranty and would like to know if any one knows who to contact to get the cluster repaired.. would like to pull it and send it directly to the repair facility so I'm not down for weeks...Thanks

I think that Dale has the Actia contact information here: Oemy's UltraPower Performance

The problem is indeed well known. My first two Actia displays both had this glitch. I was told by the International rep. that it was a software problem and the new display would not do this. He was correct. My 3rd display has never had this issue (all Actia displays were replaced at zero cost to me).
