Is WorkHorse still around

I have not been here in a long time, is WorkHorse still around? If so what are they up to?

If you do some research on line I think you'll find they were bought out by Freightliner around 05-06 and they shut them down. I think all your newer motorhomes are Ford V10's

Actually, they were purchased by Navistar and subsequently shuttered.

Thanks Gormie, did not know. Are we WorkHorse owners out in the cold or are there parts to be had? I do apologize, I'm sure it is my fault!! I bought an Oldsmobile and they went away. So I got a Lincoln LS, gone. I got a Johnson outboard motor, can't get one now! Moved to the lake, they drained it for two years to build a back up dam! We decided to buy a motor home and got a Pace Arrow (love it), don't go looking for a new one. WorkHorse who?? At least Chevrolet still makes the 8.1!!!

GM no longer produces the 8.1, and yes parts for the chassis and engines are still available.

Kindly, please post your next purchases as a community service. That is if your computer is still working.

OK here's one. Got a used Kia Sportage to pull with the Motor Coach and had to replace the brake master cylinder due to brake problems, have a Workhorse and we know about the breaks, had the coach towed 80 miles to Myrtle Beach. Got a Harley Davidson Trike, took it to the HD shop to work on front calipers a while back. Then took it to the trike dealer last week with a leaking rear caliper, $700 later they put kits in both rear calipers, replaced the master cylinder, installed new brake pads and said it had the wrong brake pedal so put one of those on. Came to Myrtle Beach last Friday for a five week stay and as my wife came to an intersection in the truck with trike in the trailer she hits the brake pedal and it goes to the floor, bad master cylinder! I am going to buy some HEAVY DUTY BOOTS and drag my feet from now on!! By the way I'm on a new computer.

Pete, in addition to the heavy duty boots, sounds like an anchor and chain should also be a good thing to have on board each or your vehicles. And it would sure be nice if you painted all your rigs a nice bright florescent orange color, so if I ran across you when traveling, I would know to stay clear for my own safety!!

Just kidding you a little, sorry to hear of all your brake problems.
