I know this subject has been covered beforebut I need some specific info on how to install a petcock in my dash heater hot water line,to completely stop the flow of hot water going through these lines, I rarely drive anywhere where I would need to use the heaters or defrosters, and even with the dash switch turned the heater constantly blows warm air, I will need the air conditioner only.
looking at the two hoses that go to the heater there is a fitting that looks like the letter H
and I just need to know where to put the shut off valve as not to disturb the flow, and pictures would help if possible, Thanks Bill

Bill just a follow up, solder two 1/2" pieces 2"s long into ball valve, cut the hose 1/2 tubing will insert easily into rubber hose than clamp.
The "H" valve Evans is off the upper hose, ball valve can be off either hose, some people have even put in two ball valves.
