Anyone? At 11 degrees fahrenheit, system had difficulty disengaging. Battery voltage tanked every time it tried, after what sounds like a thermal overload tripping and resetting. It made about 8 of these clicks before disengaging. Is this correct operation? Will something need attention? Thanks for any ideas!!

The sensors that operate the system are wet (fluid). I'm going to go out on a limb and say that viscosity was not your friend when you went to disengage the J71.

=====================
I'd use the turkey baster method. It might be a chore to get a full length bulb baster up in there..in which case you'd need to shorten the suction snout of the baster with a razor/utility knife. The baster is a buck at the Dollar Store. The J71 rez tank can't hold more than a quart or so. You will not get all of the old Dexron out of the system, but the syn stuff is compatable and you'll get 80% of the old out (at least). The only reason for doing this chore is to have a fluid in the J71 Auto/Park Brake that will flow at low ambient temperatures.
