Just started today--worked yesterday. 03 Dolphin LX W-22 Chasis, Power Gear Jacks. I seem to recall it has done this in the past---but "fixed" itself.

Normally when I turn the ignition off---or just move it to on position the dash lights up then I can turn on my pad to work the jacks.

Just arrived tonight and my ignition key "turns past" the place where normally I can activate the jacks. The jacks down light and the on light flicker if I move the ignition---but it will not allow the jack switch to activate.

Any suggestions?

Maybe its time to pull off steering wheel covers and see if you have loose wiring to your ignition switch.

The steering column--no doubt. I'll do that when I get to some place where I am not counting on leaving in the morning---lest I do more damage and get myself stuck.

It looks like the steering column covers just seperate if I remove the screws in the bottom one---any surprises lurking there? Do you know?

I thought I had read in a similar thread sometome ago about a switch that needed adjustment?? Sound familiar?

There is a switch on the parking brake bracket. The jacks won't work if the parking brake is not set. It's possible the wire fell off of the switch. It's happen to me one time when a cat we were traveling with crawled under the dash and pull the wire loose.

This is, IMHO, the best darn forum around. Ole Paladin used to say, "Have gun will travel" so I suppose members of the WCC forum could say "Have a fast fix and travel" or something like that! I'm just sayin!

Oh well, sometimes my thought process is simply ridiculous!

Thanks again and again---tonight when I pulled in to our spot----I stopped and jacks went down with confidence-------actually I read the e-mails early this morning---and I went to the dash and simply put my hand under there and found the brace and the switch as described---the wire wiggled so I gave it a push back in place---problem solved. But it would have never happend without the sharing of information received here---------can't thank you enough---this alone is worth the price of admission---what a show!!!!!!

i found that releasing my parking brake without my foot on the pedal is enough to jar the wire to the pb switch loose.
so, i always do a ''soft'' release with my foot on the pedal.
