Koni shocks

Just installed the Koni shocks on my W20 Fleetwood Southwind 32VS. They are the biggest difference I have ever installed on any vehicle. Wow is all I can say. Thanks for all the advice.

Lucas, what years is your chassis? What shocks were on it? How many miles on the shocks?
I'm currently looking into the Koni shocks for my 05 W22 with about 22k miles on it. Looking for a better ride.
Thanks

You can take this to the bank ... "Go for it, you won't be disappointed!"

I have a 2004 w20 fleetwood southwind. It has 12000 miles and it had the black Monroe's. They where really bad. Listen to Driver. He and others on this site have not let me down. Those shocks are incredible. I used the sponsored shox site and the where the cheapest. Also I get nothing to say this. I just have never had such an improvement in an aftermarket item. Hope this helps.

Wink

I have a w24 that had the black monoes on it. 12000 miles changed to konis. The monoes after taking them off, I could easly push them in and out. They were doing nothing. Konis well worth the bucks.

Does anyone know what tools will be needed to change out the shocks, I have an 05 W22, so the rear shocks have the stud top and bottom. I have an 1/2" electric impact wrench, will this be helpful?
Thanks

Yes the impact is a great tool. You will need a strap socket to hold the shock. And a torque wrench that will go to 75 ft lbs.

Thanks, do you know what size of sockets are needed?

24mm for the rear stud and can't remember the nut and bolt. Sorry. Maybe someone will remember.
