Can anyone comment, from actual experience, if Koni's with tame, or soften, washboard on dirt roads over the original Bilsteins?

Thanks,

I live 9 miles out in the country and have two gravel roads that I use. I have had tested the OEM's, Bilstein's, and Koni's on these roads. There is nothing I mean nothing other than to slow down to take the pounding that the road has to offer. The Koni's offer the best ride.

My buddies with their trailers and fifth wheels blast out at 35+ mph, they say it makes the road smoother... I laugh and say, perhaps, but you are not riding in your rig. Oemy, if I hear you what you are saying, nothing is going to make much of a difference in this situation... BTW, love your site, lots of usefull info, thanks for putting it up.

I have the Konis and drive about three miles of nasty washboard road to get to my sailing spot. The ride sucks and I go very slowly. In a car you can speed up and smooth it out.

I very seldom go more than 15 or 20 miles an hour down my road when I leave. I can run 40 or more in the car. Yep, a short wheel base takes out a lot of the rough road and straight front axle does not help either.
