Can't comment on the newer displays but on by 2003, the volt meter is displayed on the large display of the gear selection graphic.

Yes, you should have voltage on you display. Call your authorized Workhorse center and they will tell you the procedure to replace your display. When I replaced the display in my 2005 Adventurer it did not have the voltmeter. So, I had to replace it with one that did. It is a hassle because in my case in California, I had leave the unit at the repair center for about 10 days while they waited for the display to be delivered.

I have seen where some of the functionality of the pre-2007 "new" IP is missing from the new IP. Missing for instance that I have seen is "AVG MPG". I would hope that volts isn't another missing function on the 2007 and newer IP.

If the text in your display is 1" tall, it's the new IP.

I also cannot find the voltage reading on my display. What is next step ? I've got an appointment on the 14th of next month for some issues including windsheld wipers that would not shut off and the dash lights won't dim there either on bright or completely off. I'm going to fax them a list tomorrow , so I guess I'll include the lack of a volt reading also.

I found out that the older Actia instrument cluster has at least two different software loads; one has the voltmeter, the other has the trip computer. Same hardware, just different software. When I had my cluster swapped, the first one had the "voltmeter load" so I had to get another cluster with the correct software loaded to get my trip computer back.

The two different software versions are documented in the Actia manual, posted elsewhere in this forum.

ON EDIT: OK, it WAS posted; where did it go?

ON EDIT #2: OK, the trip computer version DOES have the voltmeter. It's on the PRNDL display, just like the non-trip-computer version.
