Leaking A/C condenser coil

My A/C condenser coil is leaking freon. Does anyone know where I could purchase a condenser coil? For my Newmar Workhorse 8.1. Also what is the manufacturer and part number? Thanks ..............

RV roof air conditoners are a sealed unit, not designed for major repairs. You might call an A/C repair company to see if they will even give an estimate for repair/replacement. Compare that estimate on a 9 yr old unit to the cost of a new, more efficient unit.

It is not the roof air. It is the Workhorse chassis air conditioner condenser that is leaking freon.

There are numerous RV salvage businesses. You will find 2-3 of them in Elkhart, IN. Can't find my list right now to post, but google should get you started.

My 2003 Bay just did the same. I called Workhorse at 1-877-446-7731 and ordered one for $328 which I feel is a good price after shopping around. My condenser was not repairable due to rust. There is a lead time however. Hope this helps.

I think the Workhorse uses an Evans HEVAC system, but you may find the condenser to be a Chevy part.. I stress the qualifier there.. Most of what Workhorse used was Chevy, but not all.

Most any good auto A/C repair shop should be able to order a condensing coil. I wouldn't buy a used coil, just buying another problem IMO.

Why do you say AC need freon?
Could it be possibly be this problem like most workhorse chassis's have had.

I called Workhorse for a price. They gave me a part number but they said that I had to purchase through a dealer. I have called a dealer and waiting for a price.
"007", the reason I need a condenser is that my mechanic used a "sneefer" at the bottom of the condenser and it showed freon leaking out the bottom of the
condenser. My mechanic does a lot of A/C repair and is having trouble finding the correct condenser. Does anyone know of any sources except for Workhorse?

I tried Oemy website. No luck. I finally called Workhorse and they let me order the part. I don't know why they would not sell to me the first time I called. Maybe just depends on you talk to. However, it was back ordered and should ship the end of next week. Thanks for your help.
