Happy New Year!!
Wanted to exercise my motorhome and when I went to stow the jacks the left front only came up about an inch--research said to check the fuse--It kept blowing 15 amps--then I put in a 20--it blew--the 25 amp stowed the jack--I think its the solenoid and what I gather it's an AP90729 is this correct and does anyone know where I can get one of these puppy's?What I've been reading is this is a common failure item and I can't find anyone on the enternet that carry these solenoids.

My money is on an internal short in the solenoid. That's what happened when one of ours went - it kept blowing the fuse. If you call HWH, they will walk you through trouble shooting steps to make sure that's what the problem is. Or, if you have an ohm meter, you could disconnect the solenoid and check the resistance. Zero ohms indicates a short, infinite resistance indicates a burn out.
HWH is the obvious source for parts, but I have heard they are really behind on deliveries. If you can't wait, you might try Stewart's Service. I have never done business with them, but someone here on iRV2 mentioned them in a post as a possible source of parts. I have their web page bookmarked in case I need parts in a hurry.

Thanks Paz'
You hit the nail on the head--Chuck at Stuarts talked me through trouble shooting and bingo it was the solenoid. Got a new one from him RAP 90729 -- thats the smalll solenoid for the front jacks--In case someone needs the part number for the larger solenoid for the rear jacks it's RAP0642. HWH was closed today and Chuck is fed-X it out tomorrow. They also beat HWH prices--My quote for the solenoid via HWH was in the $180's and Chucks was in the 150's--They also have a one year warranty on the parts they sell. Wish I would have ordered my Jacks and springs from them!!! O well live and learn!!

Woody,
Keep in mind that the solenoid burned up (shorted out) for a reason. So you might want to beware of a weak link in the HWH design.
My experience with 3 burned up solenoids was caused by one slow-to-retract jack that kept the solenoids engaged for a couple of hours. The HWH tech told me after the fact, never leave the system in store mode for more than 15-20 minutes. The solenoids get very hot and just burn up from the high heat if left on for prolong period of time. I looked in my HWH manual and there is no mention of this very expensive (in my opinion) design defect. Also, my fourth solenoid went out about a month later.
My coach is same year as yours Woody, so I expect that your other 3 solenoids have also been cooked to some degree and will fail later.... probably some hot day next summer.
Good luck,
Bill

I've been having the same problem for the last year. All solenoids have now been replaced as well as the return springs. I go out now with a 3' bar and help the jacks up just so the solenoids don't get too hot. HWH has been out of stock every time for me and I've had to go to one of their "master dealers" here in Ontario to get them. It must be a real big problem if they can't keep them in stock????

This is exactly what happened to my solenoid - I left the system turned on too long because of a slow jack. HWH ended up replacing all 4 solenoids twice and all the springs. The one jack was still slow, so they finally replaced both rear jacks. That was about 3 years ago (all under warranty, including mobile repair service coming to our site for the last repait), and everything has been fine since.

Bill,
Back in October 2010 my left front and left rear jacks would not come up in a timely manner and when traveling in hot weather they would extend and would not stow. Had to pry them up with a 4' bar. Frank at HWH said to replace the jacks and I did. Had to wait until the first part of Dec and they finally came. Wish I knew about STUARTS at rvleveling.com The new left rear came up great but the left front stayed down and blew the fuse. So now with the new solenoid coming I'll have replaced all but one of my jacks. right rear is the old one but is stilll working great.
