Here's a short update & new problem. The third FCA/water pump/radiator installed two months ago still ok after several short trips (1,000 miles). New problem. Rig goes into reduced power mode. Has happened 5 times when first started. So far, after several restarts the problem has gone away. Lucky so far. Dealer can't find any codes that can cause it. Western RSM & WH tech support no help so far. Anyone else experienced this problem?

Richard

I vote electrical problem. Its the season. Time for the post-manufacturing quality control check on all battery & ignition circuits. Maybe somebody w/the same rig can offer a quickie checklist?

Richard, I agree with EngineerMike in regard to the electrical problem.

I expect that the Western RSM and Workhorse Tech Support are supporting you to the best of their abilities and in as professional of a manner as possible

If no code is generated I do not expect that they would make one up. It is regrettable that this gremlin is troubling your motorhome. In my experience a reduced engine power DTC or code seen in the IP Command Center will be retained for a number or restart cycles after which it may clear.

I'm not sure how many restarts you accomplished from the onset of the REP to the point where a T2 was attached to your OBDII connector and scanned.

Quite a few of us have the Scan Gauge II. This device will trap a code and once trapped you can write it down and give that DTC to the Workhorse Techs. This might help nail this problem down.

If you are out West, you might want to give Redlands RV Performance a try.

Last January I had several computer problems that would clear, and the shops could not find anything wrong. It finaly quit completely and was towed. The tech could not find the problem with his scanner, so he called Workhorse and they said the front computer was not talking to the rear computer, and it may be a loose connection. We lucked out, and the second thing he checked was where the front computer pluged into the rear computer. I don't know who was happier the tech, or me when it fired up!
Just completed a trip up the Oregon Washington coast, and no problems with no problems with my new FCA, or my computer.
Hope your problem is as simple to fix as mine was.

Although you specifically didn't mention it, you're driving a UFO, "Cool!"

The harness that runs from front to rear on the UFO provides the mechanical connection for the "WISE" (Workhorse Integrated Smart Electrical) system. Even the best technology can fail if the connections are not secure.

Front and rear computers are required on the UFO to reduce the wiring and cabling requirements and to a degree simplify the system electronically by splitting tasks to each computer. It typically works very well. The Workhorse TAC helped resolve this problem pretty quickly I see and if every fix were that easy life would be wonderful!

Have fun motoring ......
