I don't think that having a number of expensive parts on hand or a Tech-II is a real world solution.
The last time a T2 was plugged into my system was back in early 06 and we've been fine ever since.
I have seen however where my ScanGauge II has presented a code and I dealt with it there and then. Fortunately the code was a transient thing and I was able to clear it and I have had no issues since. Well ... I have a lot of issues but the coach is OK.

Gerg, the filter screen material is inside of the pump unit at the inlet to the pump itself. The entire pump and filter assembly is about 5 inches by 12 inches. The filter material looks like sintered bronze and is not designed to be cleaned or replaced. There is a secondary internal hose that supplies the limp mode. Mine was plugged to the extent that the engine would not even idle.

DriVer,
I do have a OBD II scanner I carry with me along with a complete complement of tooling to fix most anything.
So I was thinkng maybe it might be a good idea to purchase these known electrical items and have them with me.
In my opinion one road side fix with only a short delay compared to a day or two with a tow would be worth it.
Just one of those ideas that pop into my head.
Also another interesting point,
Purchasing these parts online will usually result in quite a savings.
Example...
I diagnosed a bad idle air control valve on my Daughters Montero, dealer part cost was $410,
I purchased that part from Rockauto for $127 !!

Lynxgolfer, I want to take a SWAG at this!!!
First does it seem to be HEAT related???
If not I am thinkig it is an INTERMITTING
POWER problem.....12V ground is as we all
know is a CAMPER nightmare, could even be
a loss of 12+ line, or maybe not a complete
loss of 12V.
Drive how about a fuel rail regulator???
INTERMITTING of course??? Tenn.

We have the pleasure of having a member here named "parts_expert" so you may want to ask him about part numbers in a separate thread. Maybe he'll answer.

Most all WCC parts start with a "W".
