the original owner of my winne w-20, 35u wh 8.1, must have driven it with the parking brake on. it does not work very well. i cannot find an adjustment on the cable under the dash or on the driveshaft brake drum. it looks like there is plenty of lining left on the shoes. the wh cd manual is not helpful about how to adjust this thing.
so, how does one adjust this thing? i am thankful i don't have the "auto brake" after reading about all of the parking brake problems on this forum.

Dan, How about you update you profile and add some rig info so we can better answer your questions.

Maybe this might help with the parking brake issue.

don't know why it is not showing up here, but my profile seems to be up to date. i have a 2001 winne w-20 8.1, 35u. it has the manual parking brake with the pedal to the left of the driving pedals. it is cable actuated to the parking brake which is on the driveshaft just behind the allison trans. i believe the pic u have is for the parking brake on the driving wheels. since i am where it is warm and my rig is in wash, i can't be sure. i did look closely at the cable run last time i was under it and didn't find any adj. thanks for your help.

Dan, add the info to your "Signature" in your Profile, then it'll show up at the bottom of every posting you make when you have the check box marked.

Dale and the boys around here sure can make some things easy with all their support. Tips like this I keep pdf copies in folders so I can go back and make the adjustment some day when it needs to be done.

Good luck,
