Master Cylinder Location ?

Anyone know the location of the master cylinder on a 1997 Dolphin with Workhorse chassis?

Check from the front wheel well on the driver's side. It should be just a little bit in front and above the tire.

As Tom said ahead and above right front tire and behind a splash shield. Real fun to get at.

1997 means you have a GM, not Workhorse chassis. Your '97 should be essentially the same as my '99, and the master cylinder is below the left hand exhaust manifold, but sort of above the suspension. I can access the master cylinder from above when the engine cover /doghouse is removed. No need to remove a wheel.

Yes. From the wheel well by reaching over/around the tire, I can add fluid, empty the master cylinder of brake ffluid prior to a fluid flush, and check fluid level by shining a flashlight behind the master cylinder - all without pulling the tire.
P.S. mine is a 1999 on the 16,500 lb chassis with the air bags at 70PSI.

Mine has 4 latches (inside) that I release and then just wrestle it out. It's harder to get back in/on than to take out.
