Master Cylinder Sensor

There is a sensor on the master cylinder, below the plastic reservoir. Mine is broken, no codes, what is it, what does it do? Anyone happen to know a cross reference part number where I can pick one up?

2005 W20

Thanks!

When some had their brake recall done they were removed by service people with this info to extinguish the ABS light on dash.

I ordered a replacement anyway and put some duct tape over the opening to keep it clean for the journey home. I have no indicators or codes at this point.

Thanks for the tip and the referral to Mills
