I recently purchased the 8 inch straight metal valve extensions for the inner dualrims on our MH. My question is:
1. Will I need to put it through an oblong rubber grommet that fits on the outer wheel hole or will it be secure enough without one? If so, I saw the grommets on a website somewhere but can't remember where.

I would want something securing them, But I've not seen anything like your speaking of. I have hoses secured to the center cap.

You might want to take a look at this SITE.
They sell the long metal valve extensions and stabilizers. Maybe you can buy just the stabilizer from them.

Could you be a little more descriptive of the "hoses" that you mentioned?

Thanks for the link. I've heard of these people and will give them a call Monday and see if they will/could sell me the grommets only. Here is another site that a RVNet member suggested.http://www.alcoa.com/alcoawhee..._stabilizer_kits.asp

JC2;

I have Alcoa wheels on my MH. I had the rubber extensions and had problems with slow leaks. I purchased the long stem kits which came with the stabilizers. I sure like them as no more leaks.

I had the shop where I have my service done order and install them. I believe they were from Alcoa. They looked just like the link in your previous post. The stabilizers were sized to fit the holes in my Alcoa wheels.
