I took the motorhome to the workhorse shop a couple of weeks ago because the last short trip was giving me a funny noise in the passenger side wheel area like a screeching you hear when your brake pads are worn out. I would hear this noise when I was going around a curve to the left at about 45 MPH, the posted speed
They could not find anything rubbing the wheel or rotor but they did find a part missing in this area. there are two pieces of angle or channel iron that go from the bumper to the house frame and are welded. One is on an angle and the other goes straight up.
One had a broken weld on one end and was probably rubbing something to make this noise and the other was completely missing. They made a new bracket and re-welded the other one. We went for a test drive under similiar conditions and did not hear this noise any longer.
The coach is now out of warranty but Rexhall said they would probably warranty it after they see the pictures the workhorse dealer sent to them. I will only have to pay the difference between what the WH dealer charges and what Rexhall is willing to pay under warranty flat rate.
I thought this would be a workhorse warranty problem as this warranty is still in effect but nope it isn't.
Hope this info may be of some use to someone in this forum at some time.

Had the same squeeling problem on my '03 Sightseer. Long story short, it was the wheel covers. Funny thing was, before I knew what it was, I would make a change to get rid of the sound and would put the wheel covers back on. It wasn't until the light bulb went off and I drove it with the covers off and no more sound.

Thanks for that info.
I had wondered if that could possibly be the problem.
they pulled that right front wheel and cover to weld the broken bracket and replace the missing bracket and no more noise, so repositioning the wheel cover could have very well been the problem
Best to you and yours,
Bebop

I have asked for copies of the pics to be emailed to me and when I get them I may need help in posting them here.
I will let you know when they come in.
