Might want to do a search on this site and RV.NET. I seem to remember this subject coming up before. There was mention of some electronic (battery powered, not electric line powered) units. Some worked, some didn't. I also remember some kind of traps, and things like moth balls.

Some people I know have used Bounce (laundry dryer cloths). They spread them around in their coach. Don't know about the engine areas.
Could also try the poison food containers underneath the engine area to draw them away.

Otherwise a 22lb cat like ours helps!

Oh ya, I live in an area zoned for horses and I keep my RV at home. Well needless to say I had this problem but I seemed to have beat them. I have dogs so I could not put out poison. I got rid of the woodpile (where they were living part time) and moved some of it further away from the house and parking area. I then put sticky pads in basement areas with a poison bate stuck right in the middle of the sticky pad. For a while they ate the bate but the sticky pad made it stay in one place. I made sure that all openings were closed as much as possible. I did not want to keep the poison in one place too long as they will begine to think it is food for them and will naturally return. Check around where your power goes into the MH if you have it at home at all. I stuff rags around the inlet so no space is there to let cridders in. I also leave a light on in the engine compartment at all times when it is not being used. Just a 40 watt bulb hanging up front. All this has worked for me. Have not seen a mouse or rat in several months now.

I have had excellent luck using good old stinky mothballs.
I spread a handfull around under the coach and a few up around the motor (through the wheelwells).
I (knock on a bald man's head)havn't had any problems with my yard full of squirrels.

I haven't tried it yet, but the clerk at a local home center says they sell a lot of hardware cloth (screen material) to people for rodent control. she says rats won't walk across it. A square of quarter inch screen under each tire and jack will keep pests away. Like I said I haven't tried it yet. Has anyone else heard of this?
