Greetings Workhorse people. I have the recall on a Workhorse Monaco Monaco brake issue. Does anyone know of a service center in Denver. I thought I read once where one could go to a place other than a Workhorse repair center meaning some truck repair centers.

Don

Don, Max49 will know all the Workhorse Service Centers in the Denver Area so you might drop him a Private Mail (PM).

You will not be able to get the Bosch Brake Caliper Recall cleared on your motorhome anywhere less than a Workhorse Authorized Service Center.

Burt Chevrolet on Broadway, in Englewood is also a WCC center. It's closer than the others.

Burt has not been a WCC center in my ownership time. They are no longer an Allison authorized center either. They do have a truck service shop, and can do W/H work I expect, but I have not been there for two years, so can't say.
I got my brakes done quickly by ATS in Colorado Springs. K&C was scheduled far out.

Burt did all my WH warranty work. They just changed my engine and they told me they had about 40 MHs in line for the brake recall, 2 months ago. Burt has never advertised they are a WH Svc cntr

I used Weld County and was more than satisfied with the work they did and professionalism. A little far for you but I thought you might be interested in real life experiences. I used the K&C North of Longmont for non-warranty issues and was not impressed.

That's good news. I will check with them next time I need chassis service. Sure a lot closer than Colo. Springs. I was just going by the listings on the W/H site (apparently they fired all their web page folks years ago), and the Allison site.
When I had my tranny serviced two years ago, I was told they were formerly a W/H service center.

These are the service centers that I show from alternate resources. What's on the WCC website in regard to Service Centers as far as I know is accurate. Information does change rapidly and it takes 30 days or so for it to catch up I expect. The Service Group maintains this list not the web heads.
These are the only authorized service centers that I know of in Colorado "Although" Workhorse Roadside Assistance can give you the listing for an "Authorized Alternate SC"

Burt Chevy on Broadway did almost all of my factory WH warranty work.
The first time, I called WH to make sure they were an authorized center. WH asked me if Burt said they would do it as warranty work and I said yes they did. WH said it was ok then.
At different times,
Burt replaced my IP
They replaced my fuel pump
They diagnosed and replaced my first SP wire
They changed the fuel clip on the recall
They changed my driver side air bag in the spring
They worked on my chassis AC
I ordered a WH fuel filter fvrom them before I got the adaptor from Dale
THey never attempted to charge me a dime for any of the above work, unlike K&C RV.
Having said all of that , I was disappointed in how my engine replacement ordeal went down with them, but I got a new engine and it seems to run good again.

heres the ph #, call em, 303-761-2382- Call WH too if you want. IMO, I think Burt and WH are not best buddies, but if BUrt accepts the job and accepts the amount WH will pay , they will authorize it.
Driver, it pretty sad that WH does not have one single SC in the Denver area.
Weld Co Garage is in Greeley 65 miles N of Denver and ATS is in CO Springs 65 miles south of Denver. K&C RV is about 50 miles N of Denver, and they have gouged me for $80 to $130 every time I took my MH there, for warranty work.

Max, Workhorse cannot give Authorized Workhorse Service Centers away. Shops must want to do the work and then they must meet muster.

For example if you want to be a Chevrolet dealer, you have to maintain all types of inventory, training, infrastructure, testing instruments, tools continuing education, computer integration, etc etc. Workhorse is not much different other than the infrastructure can be really rudimentary but the service must be exceptional or the center will soon find itself in the NFL.

I don't see it as sad at all Max, I just see a lot of maintenance facilities that are just leaving money on the table. You have to want it or it just doesn't work out. There are many centers that have been Workhorse shops for 10 years. That must tell you something, there is a way in which to do business and yes it is very possible and it's not sad at all for the many service centers that are in the business.

Driver, please just read my post again. I promise you it is all true, scouts honor. I even have all the receipts to prove it, Interstate Star went thru them with a microscope. In fact call WH, don't tell them you are "Driver". Ask them if "Burt on Broadway" Burt Chevrolet on Broadway Englewood (Denver) CO Chevrolet Dealers in Colorado. Huge Inventory of New and Used Chevy Cars Trucks and SUVs. GM Certified Used or other Quality Pre-owned Vehicles. in Englewood , CO can do warranty work on your coach.

Burt did not do all that work on my coach for free, but I paid them nothing.
IMO , I bet any GM dealer could do WH warranty work if they want to work on a motorhome and will accept payment plan from Workhorse, that just my opinion but it is a fact that BUrt has done almost all my WH warranty work on my MH, since I learned K&C gouges you for whatever they can, especially if you did'nt buy from them. In fact I did buy my first MH from them but I doubt if I'll buy from them again.
They are a Freedom Roads/ Camping World dealer now, but I think it runs in the industry.

On edit, please give me a break! An inventory of WH parts, now that's funny.

max, Burt if not listed as an Authorized Service Center can do warranty work if YOU as a customer call Workhorse Roadside Assistance and ask them. There is a list of acceptable alternates that WCC will do business with. I don't have that list.

Max, Dealers have been obligated to buy a minimum quantity of frequently used parts as a component of their dealership agreement. No body said that they will have every part and can build a totally new motorhome out of the parts room. These guys run out of stuff for different reasons. Workhorse doesn't make the parts so they are on the hook too if 1 small sub-component supplier fails to provide parts to the larger assembly supplier.

Driver , you know WH SCs have a terrible reputation for having parts. K&C never had any parts I needed. And of course, they would'nt take my word for it that I needed ( an air bag for example. So 65 mi to SC , 130 RT for someone to pick me up, another 130 miles RT to pick up the MH to bring it back with no air bag. 65 more miles Then repeat all of the above 2 months later when they got the air bag in. I think thats over 500 miles, but true.
Did u read post #9? Did you believe any of it

Heck no, it's not sad for the remaining svc cntrs, it's better for them, it's sad for the customers.
