Hey guys,
My slides won't come out & jack won't go down,
at first I thought it might be the emergency brake switch, however after looking at it all it does is provide a ground. It's just a single wire circuit.
When I remove the wire and touch it to ground I hear a relay clicking.
Does anyone know what that relay is and what it controls ??
Anyone else ever have this problem ??

Thanks

Gregg

First it is not a Workhorse installed system. It is a FW installed product. I had a Pace Arrow years ago with a Power Gear jack system. I had a relay on there pump go bad. ALso they said it had to be an OEM replacement not just any relay from a parts house.

I don't know about the Pace, but on the Southie there are two circuit breakers and one fuse in the internal block that are used by the body builder. Have you checked them?

Seems like it has to be something that's common between the hydraulic pump for the levelers and the electric slide motors. Think I'd keep looking at the circuits off the relay that you can hear making when you ground the PB switch or maybe the tranny Park switch.

The Southie also has a module under the hood labeled "Slide Control". I haven't looked inside it yet, maybe some clue there if you have one.
