Hello everyone,
My 2007 W-22 gave me some serious problems this past weekend. While driving it was losing power, backfiring a couple times, and some loud clanking from the engine. Some times it would not hold idle. I have not had problems like this since I was a kid driving old beaters.
Anyway I will probably elect to have it towed to a WH center. I see Metro RV in Santa Ana, and Guarantee Chevy in Santa Ana.
I also see Coach Care in Irvine but they don't list it as being WH certified, other Coach Cares are WH, but not Irvine according to their website.
Does anyone have experience with either of these 3? I've read good things about the place up in Redlands, but I don't think I would get a free tow up there (Coach Net), because it's not the closest.
Thanks for any insight.

Not sure what part of the OC you live in but I have my W22 serviced at S&J Chevrolet in Cerritos. They are Workhorse certified and I've had good luck there in the past. The RV Service Advisor is Bill Carter.

I have had work down at Coach Care in Irvine. They are great for generators (Onan) but I was not happy with their electrical coach work and excess charges.

I believe S&J Chevy in Cerritos is an authorized place for you. They are good and have lots of bays and do RVs. Near the 605 and 91 fwys.

They did work for me for years when I had a gasser.

I have used Guarantee Chevy in Santa Ana for the recall work. They are fast and know the drive train issues.

Sounds like you may have water in your fuel system

Rolling On W22,
I certainly would recommend Redlands Truck & RV Service as they have done a lot of work for me with great results.
It is worth the extra few miles to Redlands from Orange County CA. if you want excellent, professional,& quick service.

As much praise as Redlands Truck gets, If my engine was doing what the OP stated, I would not be driving that far to get it fixed. I would be going to the closest WH approved shop to me that got a good recommendation from this forum.

Again, I have nothing against Redlands but I would not be too comfortable driving that far with my engine acting up like that. I would not want to add a expensive tow bill to my repair bill.
