Well, with 50,000 miles and seven year old Michelin's I decided it was time. I went in this morning for an alignment check since the right front seemed to have an abnormal wear pattern on the outside edge. The left showed some wear on the outside too but not as bad. The tech said it was pulling a bit to the right so he added a caster shim on the left side ????, adjusted the toe in and centered the steering wheel. Seems to be going down the road nice and straight now. I did notice it pulling slightly to the right before but chalked it up to the wind blowing me around. Should be good to go for another seven years. At the price of those tires I'll have to start saving now.

Gary, it should drift to the right due to the crown of the road. If you can find a nice flat back highway and drive right down the middle of the road so the crown breaks evenly, then you can verify whether it drifts left or right.

When my coach was new it drifted to the right excessively and an alignment found it was toed out too much. After the alignment, I put about 54K miles on the original Michelin's and they wore very evenly.

Isn't it a nice and quiet ride with all that new tread between you and the concrete/asphalt surface?

Happy trails,
Bill
