They improved the dash for 2007 and up, a larger message display area and later 24W's had a manual parking brake rather than the "J72 auto-park". Easily identified by the lack of the yellow brake button on the dash.



My choise would be a 2007 or later chassis just for the improved IP cluster. The newer cluster has the WH logo in the lower left corner.

Mike, I don't believe any W22 ever had the dreaded J-72 autopark problems. I believe any W series with an Allison trans didn't receive the J 72.

VOW, All W24s from 2004 through model year 2006 with Allison transmissions had the J72 auto apply brake. You are correct that no W22s ever had the J72.

Today all W-Series other than the W-18 have manual apply foot brakes and park pawls in their transmissions.

J72s were much more reliable than the J71 which it replaced.
