Bob,

We are now shipping the new program in the ScanGaugeII. We have gotten the GM codes for reading transmission temperature and more. They should work on the workhorse. You enter the codes into the ScanGaugeII through the front panel buttons. They can be seen at http://www.scangauge.com/support/pdfs/XGAUGE.pdf

The above is a email I received yesterday from Linear-Logic regarding their latest Scangauge II that supposedly works on the Workhorse Chassis with the Allison Transmission. Not sure why he says, "should work on the workhorse." Instead of "will work on the workhorse." In any case, has anyone ordered a new one or had their existing gauge upgraded yet?

Bob, you make my kind of observations regarding manufacturers statements to potential customers.

He says that because he is being honest. As I understand it this is a small sole proprietorship and he does not have the budget to buy and test on a multitude of vehicles. He will not know until enough people call him back and verify whether it does or does not indeed work on a particular make and model.
