Itís been a while since I did it on my Suburban, itís a fairly common problem to GM instrument clusters in the 2000s. Do a internet search for Chevy suburban or pick up and your fault and youíll find it. Thereís a connection in the cluster that needs to be re-soldered. If youíre not comfortable with the idea, do what the others have suggested and use Ultra RV products.
