I have a 2002 AS LY. I presently don't have a horn because I pulled the fuse. The reason is with the fuse in, it blows steady. I pulled off the horn button. Inside there is a black wire connected to the button. Also there is a spring that appears to touch a ground plate when you press down on the button. Is there anyone out there familiar with this concept? Is there a spec calling for a certain clearance between the spring bottom and grounding plate? I'm paranoid about the horn going off while the MH is in the storage compound since it does not have an attendant. Should I buy a new horn ring? Thanks.

Steve

Check for chafing of the black wire within the steering column. This wire provides the ground path for the horn relay primary circuit. Good luck!!
