Only thing I have changed was to install the Bilstein shocks to calm the pogo stick front end. I did this on my own dime. I see some had this covered by WCC and I wish they had covered mine too. Oh well, since I do my own labor, all I am out is the cost of the shocks. I see no reason to seek more power, as I have been passing DP's on long grades. Workhorse has a good gas chassis without any engine mods.

Mike, If this is not too expensive, (sorry but I have no idea what this costs), I would be definitly be interested in having this done. Here in Colorado , we're losing probably 10 or 20% of our power because the thin air and altitude. Add the many 6% or more, long mtn. passes and this is a great place to have a little more oomph.
However SLC is still close to 600 miles from the Denver area.
Is this a pretty simple thing to do? Is it sort of like the 'chip' that almost all powerstroke owners get? I guess the chipmust really wake up the powerstroke because everybody that has one, loves it.
Will you be driving thru Denver on your way to or from SLC?

Thanks for starting this thread, Brian! For us, the answer to your questions are YES, YES, YES! We haven't had to nor wanted to change a thing on our W22. From the very first time I drove our coach I was so impressed and even now I still marvel at how such a huge vehicle can be such a pleasure to drive. (I would drive it to work every day if the wife would let me! ) The power is amazing! When we went through the mountains of PA a few years ago I found myself in the far left lane, going uphill, passing cars, trucks, DP's anything that wasn't going at least 55-60 mph. I really couldn't believe it. My foot wasn't even to the floor. That 8.1 never leaves me wanting for more power. The Allison transmission shifts so smoothly we barely feel it and the ride and handling characteristics are such that I can really relax while cruising along and the rig practically steers itself. There's no wandering or bouncing and oncoming traffic on those 2-lane highways do not cause much if any body sway. There are no plans to modify anything and like some of the others have said "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

The 35U on the Workhorse W22 is about as good a combination as was ever built....IMHO.

I have been very happy with my W22. I have yet to find myself in a position where my thoughts were "Gee-I wished I had more power".
My only mod has been Monroe shocks.
