Where is the odometer reading actually stored at in the cluster itself or a computer somewhere else and just displayed in the cluster?

It sounds like you have the odometer set to read KM.

I'm thinking when you set it for MPH or KPH both the speedometer and the odometer will read for what ever it is set for, not say speedo on MPH while the odometer shows KPH.
